Gaia Vision discloses the pitch for Nikkei Super DX/SUM (including our visions and activities)

As previously announced, Gaia Vision has been selected as a finalist for the pitch event of the Nikkei-sponsored “Super DX/SUM” and spoke at the Impact Pitch session on September 19, 2023.

This article introduces what we presented in the pitch, including the vision that Gaia Vision aims to achieve, our current efforts, and future prospects.

Gaia Vision believes that to reduce disaster risks that are intensifying due to climate change, it is important to achieve a society in which companies and public organizations are involved in the management cycle of assessing disaster risks and promoting appropriate countermeasures. It is also important to link companies’ risk assessment to river basin flood control, which should be undertaken on a regional or river basin basis, by raising keywords such as “river basin TCFD”.

In light of these issues, Gaia Vision is working to provide 1) a climate change risk analysis platform, 2) real-time flood forecasting, and 3) flood management project support service by utilizing our high-resolution global flood simulation technology. For example, we touched on our “Climate Vision” usage images and the publication in MLIT’s manual for 1) our climate change risk analysis platform, and for 2), the development status of our real-time flood forecasting solution.
